Valerie Walker Harris is the founder and CEO of Radiant Strategies. She created Radiant Strategies by merging technical, creative and business skills to identify and capitalize on unique business opportunities.

Prior to founding Radiant Strategies, Valerie spent over 20 years in the energy industry where she specialized in strategic planning, evaluation of competitive landscapes, leading acquisitions and divestitures, reorganizations, managing large budgets ($1.5B +), innovation initiatives, operations management and ensuring performance.

Valerie’s engineering background was foundational for earning innovation awards, Young Engineer of the Year and Texas A&M University’s Young Alumni Spotlight.  She served as lecturer for international and local universities’ petroleum engineering departments, and was on the Board of Directors for the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Valerie is a devout continuous learner having earned an Executive MBA at Rice University with honors. Her degree focused on Strategic Innovation Management, Operations Strategy (Lean Sigma Certification), and Finance. Valerie has taught Project Management to MBA students at Rice University for over 6 years. Valerie earned her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University emphasizing Biomedical, Thermodynamics and Materials engineering.  Valerie also has certificates from Southern Methodist University Leadership Academy, Oklahoma State University Management Consortium and UK Cranfield University Global Leadership Program.
